Dr.Svetlana Maddox did a lecture-recital titled "Imagination is the Key", where she performed a suite of ten piano pieces composed by a Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky in 1874. Mussorgsky was inspired to write these short musical pictures after visiting an art exhibition of his close friend Viktor Hartman. His music depicts a walk down the exhibition hall. Each painting, sketch and other works of art evoke different emotions. These are the musical illustrations to the actual art pieces that were displayed at the Imperial Academy of Arts in February of 1874.
