2019 Treasure Valley Music Festival
Romantic & Baroque Time Periods
Students may elect to perform one or two pieces in a small recital setting.
Family members and other interested parties are encouraged to attend.
Students age 0-12 years are allotted 5 minutes of performance time.
Students over age 12 are allotted 7 minutes of performance time.
Students may perform solo pieces or in ensemble.
A highly qualified adjudicator will preside over the recital.
The adjudicator will make oral comments immediately following each student’s performance. These oral comments will make note of positive aspects of the performance and may include suggestions for practice or performance.
Students will not be judged in comparison with other students, but rather against a “standard of excellence”. At the conclusion of the recital the adjudicator will be given private time to award one of three performance degrees to each student: Outstanding Achievement, Honorable Mention or Participation. Medallions reflecting those awards will be attached to previously prepared certificates for each student. These certificates will be professionally rendered and will be perfect for framing.
Certificates will be presented to students by their teacher at a time he/she determines best.
